Duration of test six days and changing sticky board out at noon each
day.
The collect the natural Varroa mite count for hive 2 without the brush.
Each testing sticky board has three different zone set up to record the
number of mites falling off into each zone.
Construction of sticky board
Sticky board measurement are 22” long by 14 1/4” wide, using the non-
waxed side of freeze wrap paper, with three zones A, B and C
specified . When placing on plywood cut to above measurement using
Pam cooking oil to create a sticky surface.
Zone A is from front edge of the screen bottom board to the hive
entrance.
Zone B is two inch above and below the brush line
Zone C is from 2” below the brush line to rear edge of screen bottom
board
